Hello!
I'd like Icedove to send me on-screen notifications when I receive a new message, but it doesn't. In edit > preferences > general: when a new message arrives, show an alert and play a sound ar e selected.
It's not a general notification issue because I can see a popup when a torrent has completed downloading or when I'm running on low battery (for example).
Gnome classic desktop.

In gnome settings in notifications, is "show poping messages" enabled ?
(I guess it's something like that but my os is in french...)

Yeah, notifications are enabled... As proof, other applications can send me notifications when their job's done.
