Missing String in Dconf-editor
Missing String in Dconf-editor
The dconf-editor is missing 'percentage-action', 'percentage-low', 'percentage-critical' strings that's responsible for notifying the user of the battery levels. How can I add them?

Re: Missing String in Dconf-editor
I can't be bothered slogging through all the options -- please share the location of this string.
Please also state which version of Debian you are using.
I am presuming you are using GNOME; correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Missing String in Dconf-editor
The location of the string should be in org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power. I'm using Debian Stable with Gnome.Head_on_a_Stick wrote:I can't be bothered slogging through all the options -- please share the location of this string.

Re: Missing String in Dconf-editor
Looks like it's hard coded -- `apt-get source gnome-shell` and get hacking...

So I'll need to modify the source code to get the strings?

Re: Missing String in Dconf-editor
Sorry to raise an old thread, but came across this looking for critical battery action settings in Gnome. For anybody arriving at the same place, this may be useful:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/92794/ho ... tery-valueLooks like Gnome moved the settings. Critically low battery is now handled by UPower. Instead of using gsettings, you should now edit the file /etc/UPower/UPower.conf
