Re: music visualizer in KODI or so??
It appears that there are separate Kodi addon packages that will provide visualizations. http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/ppa/ ... ol/main/k/
I'll check them out, and add them to my mini-multimedia OBS repo if they work.
Edit: I can rebuild the projectm, goom, and shadertoy packages, and they show up in Kodi, but they are just black screens. No errors from kodi in the terminal.
Need to do some detective work...

Re: music visualizer in KODI or so??
It looks like the PPA Kodi and its visualization addons aren't multiarch, but Debian's Kodi is, so I'll have to have the addons install in the multiarch location. I was able to get the projectM visualization working in Kodi by a manual compile and install, so that should work for the packages.
Edit: managed to convert the projectM visualization package over to multiarch with the dh-exec method here: https://wiki.debian.org/Multiarch/Imple ... F.2A_files
Installed into Kodi 16.1 64-bit, and it works now. The same method should work on the other visualization addons, let's see.
Update: The shadertoy one seems to be broken, as the Ubuntu users report--it just flashes lighter or darker to the beat. The goom visualization works. Will try building the others in there.

Yes, I do those first. I got the waveform one, like in your screenshot, and the rotating spectrum one, too. I guess those were removed from the main Kodi source.

You can try installing the debs for your architecture from this deb with gdebi: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxE7w ... jl1WTNwaWc
Contains projectm, goom, waveform, and spectrum.
Goom seems to eat a lot of CPU at full screen.

The debs that were built against Kodi 16 can be downloaded from the MX 15 repository: http://main.mepis-deb.org/mx/repo/pool/main/k/
I currently have Kodi 17 in my jessie-backports multimedia repository, and those visualizations needed updated version for most to build against the new Kodi. Luckily, I was able to port them over from deb-multimedia, and am adding them to that repo.
Edit: the six kodi-visualizations are in the OBS repo. https://build.opensuse.org/project/show ... evepassert
