Not getting sound in flash
Not getting sound in flash
I don't get any sound from flashmovies (as from newgrounds or any other source). And sometimes I can't see the text from them either (I've install the ms-fonts packagE)

Well it's blind guessing, don't you agree?
First, close your browser windows (and Firefox download manager), next, kill all your sound daemons:
pkill -9 artsd
pkill -9 esd
(Dunno what sound daemon you're using.)
Then, start Firefox and try again. If that won't work, it's probably not a problem with access to the sound device (well, at least, you get sound in other programs, don't you?). Given your problems with your fonts, maybe it's related to the Flash plugin you're using.

You can try to edit the /etc/mozilla-firefox/mozilla-firefoxrc file. I changed my to read
That solved sound issues for me.
I'm not sure what to suggest to fix the text issues.
Code: Select all
# which /dev/dsp wrapper to use
FIREFOX_DSP=none

In mozilla, not Firefox, I have this settings into /etc/mozilla/mozillarc:
But, there is no sound, any ideas?

This file was generated by debconf automatically.
# And you can copy this file to ~/.mozillarc to override.
