X Server Crash

I just installed Debian. However I cant get the GUI to load up xserver says it has encountered a porblem and closes. It says to reconfigure and then re open how do i go about doing that?

Probably, you have to select the correct video card/chipset ;)
Edit, /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file via pico, nano or any editor, good luck.

At the console prompt...
1. su to root
2. dpkg-reconfigure xfree86-common
3. dpkg-reconfigure xserver-common
4. dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

Thats becouse you maybe didint install the X server

Do a:
apt-get install x-window-system
