[Solved] Unable to open hyperlinks in thunderbird

Postby xuhdev » 2017-04-03 07:16

Hi, I'm on Debian stretch. However, I found myself not able to open any hyperlinks in Thunderbird -- it simply does nothing. In the mean while, on the terminal it prints the following:

Code: Select all
(thunderbird:17304): WARNING **: Could not launch default application for URI: Failed to execute child process "/usr/bin/thunderbird" (Permission denied)

I have apparmor enabled. However,
Code: Select all
sudo aa-complain thunderbird
shows

Code: Select all
ERROR: /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.thunderbird contains no profile

Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Thank you!

What window manager or desktop environment? Have you set your preferred browser?

It turns out I need to run
Code: Select all
sudo aa-complain usr.bin.thunderbird
. Thanks for your reply anyway.
