What web browser do you use? If you not that "techie", and you use Chromium/Chrome, try this instead:

Code: Select all

wget <ClipGrab>
unzip <ClipGrab>
cd <ClipGrab>
less README*
./configure --help
./configure
make
sudo make install
<ClipGrab> needs to be replaced with actual URL, name of downloaded file etc. also README is sometimes Readme.md, Install.txt etc.

Those generic autotools instructions won't work for Clipgrab (and a huge number of other programs!), it uses Qt, qmake, etc. The source code has a README file with the correct procedure, like most programs do.

However....Tan, if you search these forums for "clipgrab", don't you quickly find a thread about a third party repository for Jessie that will provide the program packages and the "real" ffmpeg that it will work best with for any conversions?
