[solved] megasync - ~/.config/autostart

Postby milomak » 2017-05-19 20:12

on my laptop, i am running cinnamon and have megasync installed

I create the below in ~/.config/autostart/megasync.desktop
Code: Select all
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Version=1.0
GenericName=File Synchronizer
Name=MEGASync
Comment=Easy automated syncing between your computers and your MEGA cloud drive.
TryExec=megasync
Exec=megasync
Icon=mega
Terminal=false
Categories=Network;System;
StartupNotify=false
X-GNOME-Autostart-Delay=60

but for some reason when i reboot, it is gone and so as it happens megasync does not start.

i did the same on my install on the imac (also same versions of cinnamon and megasync) and megasync.desktop is not deleted there. what could be happening here?

If you start the MEGAsync GUI and choose "Settings" does it have a "Start on setup" option?
