Hello All,
My daughter purchased a Wacom tablet and asked me to install it. It shows when I run lsusb but when I click on Graphics Tablet I get a message that says "No tablet detected". What gives?
I am running Jessie with XFCE.

Have you tried installing this package ? :
https://packages.debian.org/jessie/xser ... nput-wacom

Re: Wacom tablet not detected
I already have that package installed. Just to be safe, I removed and reinstalled it. Same problem.GarryRicketson wrote:Have you tried installing this package ? :

Update: I realized that my daughter is running Cinnamon, not XFCE. Not sure how I got those two confused.

Re: Wacom tablet not detected
Ok, well that is to bad, I was hoping it would be simple,....
I don't know off hand , I did try the "forum search" and there are
a lot of topics listed:
http://forums.debian.net/search.php?key ... t+detected
I have not looked through them, so I don't know if any will be of use,...
but in the meantime, while waiting to see if any one else know something ,...
If I have time, tomorrow, I will look through some of those topics my self as well,
Using , Wacom tablet not detected on Debian
Found this , just now:
https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... s-ctl490db
Points to this:
http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/wiki/ ... nput-wacom
The OP says that solved it.
The rest of the results seem to be for Ubuntu, so I don't think the will be of much use,...but sometimes they are.

The problem solved itself when I upgraded to Debian Stretch.
