Debian 9 desktop distorts upon waking from suspend

Postby HangryDave » 2017-08-09 18:31

Hey,

Whenever I wake Debian 9 from sleep, the screen distorts, sometimes on the login screen, sometimes on the desktop background.

I would include technical info, but I don't know what is needed to diagnose the problem. The one thing I know might help is the fact that I am using an Nvidia GTX 750ti.

Worth making a quick check of graphics software using inxi package.

After installing inxi do :

Code: Select all
inxi -G

Here is a result from my system for comparison :

Graphics: Card: NVIDIA GM107 [GeForce GTX 750 Ti]
Display Server: X.Org 1.19.2 driver: N/A Resolution: 1680x1050@59.97hz
GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on NV117 GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 13.0.6

Sometimes see a carpet of crud like that after a fresh install, but never persists on my 750 Ti
