I am using Debian 9 with Gnome 3.22 as desktop environment.
I'm noticing an odd behavior in gnome-shell process as memory consumption keeps going up and it reaches 700 MB.
My system specs are:
Debian 9
Gnome 3.22.2
Intel Core I7 4500U
AMD Radeon 8760HD
Have anyone suffered of the same problem?

Re: Memory Leak Gnome 3.22 XOrg
I've noticed that Gnome 3.22 feels rather choppy on my machine, however I don't see this sort of memory consumption. In my case, I rather suspect it has to do with my video card drivers (open source radeon with proprietary firmware).

Re: Memory Leak Gnome 3.22 XOrg
Which architecture? How much RAM do you have? For 64-bit systems, 700 MB is rather common for GNOME 3 on idle. For instance, Windows 10 eats up 1.4 GB with nothing running.

Mine is around 800MB with nothing open. I don't think you're seeing anything unusual.
