[SOLVED]How to use windows clipboard on xterm forwarded by X

#1 Post by sw2wolf »

By using X forwarding through ssh, i can view xterm from Debian VM on Windows. However, the C-c/C-v seems not work on xterm window. Using middle mouse butthon cannot copy its selections to Windows clipboard.

Regards!

why don't you just ssh straight into the machine, with e.g. putty.
no X forwarding required.

Besides X-forwarding xterm, we still X-forward other X apps. There are few keyboard issues using xterm. Putty has many keyboard issues, such as <backspace>, <arrow keys>, etc.

It works now by middle-mouse-button.

Regards!
