Xorg ceased to work.

Everything about X, Gnome, KDE, ... and everything running on it

Xorg ceased to work.

First things first,
/var/log/Xorg.0.log:http://termbin.com/bchg
/etc/X11/xorg.conf:http://termbin.com/h99m
The computer is old (around 2006) and have a VIA display card.
I boot the PC to TTY and used startx to enter the GUI.
Xorg failed to start with autoconfig as it used fbdev driver which is not installed.
So I used X -configure to generate a new config and changed the drivers.Still no luck.

If it worked before with the same configuration then perhaps the graphics card is broken.

It is not a harware issue. It works on System Rescue CD (which uses autodetect)

Current Operating System: Linux EINHERJAR 4.15.0-rc8-686 #1 SMP Debian 4.15~rc8-1~exp1 (2018-01-15) i686
Kernel command line: auto BOOT_IMAGE=vmlinuz root=800 net.ifnames=0 video=vesafb:mtrr:3 noibrs noibpb nopti noapic

Maybe you should try a kernel/ cmdline and X setup similar to what system rescue cd uses?

When you say it "ceased" to work that means it did work before? on that kernel? with those options? with the same xorg.conf?

It works with -fbdev and -vesa driver without using an xorg.conf, with the same kernel and cmdline.
However, since it is a VIA video card I should use openchrome.
I think that it should be a configuration issue.
