Gnome-Software Empty [SOLVED]

On Debian Stretch I thought I would try out the Gnome Software Center just for the heck of it. Problem is, it's empty. Under the 'All' category there is nothing listed. Is there a way to make this work?

I am running Gnome 3.22. apt update && apt upgrade does not help.

No, it came with Gnome when I installed it. I started out with Cinnamon then decided to install Gnome.

I would use

# apt install task-gnome-desktop

for the full-fat experience or

# apt install gnome-core

for a more streamlined box

I used apt install gnome.

I uninstalled gnome-software and reinstalled it. It's working now.

apt autoremove gnome-software
apt install gnome-software
