HDMI Monitor is not detected

#1 Post by sinak »

Hello everyone!

I am running Debian Buster on a Acer Aspire A715-71G-72F5. The laptop has two GPUs. An Intel one and an nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti.

The HDMI monitor wasn't detected with Nouveau module, so I installed nvidia's proprietary driver. However, this also didn't fix the problem.

Then I boot from Ubuntu live usb in order to see the if the monitor was detected. It was actually detected and working fine with Nouveau module, so I uninstalled the proprietary driver and installed Nouveau again. However, I am not managing to make it work on Debian.

I have also installed bumblebee and primus.

The xrandr (https://pastebin.ca/3989159) doesn't detect the monitor and neither xrandr --listproviders: https://pastebin.ca/3989181 does.

Also i run optirun glxgears and i got:

Code: Select all

[ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: [XORG] (EE) [drm] Failed to open DRM device for pci:0000:01:00.0: -19
The dmesg is here: https://pastebin.ca/3989195

Any help would be appreciated :)
