Choice is simple for Linux users, it's either Chrome/Chromium or Firefox.
Mandatory may be too strong a word.
Advisable might be better. Yeah, I know; it's a bit picky. The thing is I like to configure a browser to my needs. That includes the way it looks. I simply don't like Chromium. One can come up with long lists of pros and cons but i just don't like it. I presently use Waterfox which I have been able to manipulate more to my liking, not perfect but it's comfortable. Slimjet is faster, maybe the fastest I've ever used but I keep making mistakes with sloppy mouse strokes when using it; veto! The latest Firefox? Maybe but not yet.
BTW, on all browsers I would love to move the address bar back to the top of the page. I will never use an address bar for searching so I want it up and out of the way.
