It's possible it could be backported to Stretch. I'll try to set up an OBS repo tomorrow to see if that works. So far I have been able to backport the base EFL library packages in pbuilder on my own machine.

Thanks. I'm running Buster and I now have E22 running. I have been warned that it has a myriad of tweaks and settings, so the fun begins.

The efl libraries and enlightment 0.22 backported without any trouble on my own machine, so I going to set up a Stretch repo on the OBS. I tried a few tricks to try and get it to build on Jessie, but it looks like the X libraries are too old there.
