How can I repair and login again after 'failed to load session cinnamon' in Debian 9.4 Stretch ...

What is very strange, everything went well .. until my new login ... no special changes, nothing :(

Thx,

you will need to provide a valid problem description with some basic troubleshooting.
i suggest switching to another tty, e.g. with Ctrl-Alt-F2, and gather some info for us.
please read first link in my signature.

Dear
Well I did start another session ...
I have only one pc here, and now started another distro through Live USB
With the repair screen I did journal with the xb option ...
I did look at the installed cinnamon files ... everything is nicely installed, I don't see special messages in the journal ...
That's why I don't get it ...
NOW, my question is ... simply how to repair it ...
Reinstalling Debian completely OR what ???
Thx

Hi all,

I still don't find the reason, neither a message/log what happened ...
For others who will or can face that problem :
I did through CLI-login (CTRL ALT F2) install again the cinnamon full desktop
I did reboot and login, changed the session from x-session to cinnamon,
and now it works and none of my configs are lost

Kind regards,
JP

completely pointless because the journal reports only on the live session.

Common, don't take me as an idiot ...
I did check the journal report from the CLI (CTL ALT F2) ... (journalctl -xb) !!!
I have quiet some experience with linux, so please man ;-)

Thx ;-)

If you have experience, it's up to you to solve the problem.

What I did .. but if it already occurred someone could give a simple solution no ?
Whatever, I did resolve it myself ;-)
But I thought a forum was also there to provide help, the solution I didn"t ask for technical investigation ... I was clear about it no ?

But , ok ..
