I want to convert M2TS file to MPEG. How can I do this?

FFmpeg is the go-to on the command line, but not for those that prefer the GUI. WinFF is a nice front-end to it, or VLC also has built-in transcoding.
Did you want to convert to MPEG1 or MPEG2, by the way? If you want to do this for DVD video, DeVeDe will also do this.
