Easystroke installation

#1 Post by kingburger »

Hello y'all
Ok it's first time I post in a forum just to say I'm really desperate)

I'm trying to install easystroke from source. It's a pity it's not in the repo's I don't understand why.... Easystroke changed my life
I'm a ubuntu user but changed recently to Debian and it's all nice. But I really need easystroke.
I never understood a lot about compiling apps

I followed https://github.com/thjaeger/easystroke/ ... structions

then I get:
‘group’ is not a member of ‘sigc’

I found some pages about the error:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/932946/ ... nome-17-04

but I don't understand the answers))

I know I don't give much infos but don't know exactly what I should send...
can you help me?

I tried also more or less to install it from the ubuntu .deb package but never succeeded.

Debian GNU/Linux 9

Well, you got lucky there,... https://wiki.debian.org/DontBreakDebian
Repositories that can create a FrankenDebian if used with Debian Stable:

Debian testing release (currently buster)
Debian unstable release (also known as sid)
Ubuntu, Mint or other derivative repositories are not compatible with Debian!
Ubuntu PPAs

These packages were built on vanilla Stretch and are compatible: http://mxrepo.com/mx/testrepo/pool/test/e/easystroke/

The easiest way to install a compatible standalone deb is to install gebi and use that to install the deb. You can also use apt on the command line to do so, but it's a bit more technical.
