Installing whatsapp and use it without phone

I found yowsup-cli but is there a GUI?

Using also the phone I know that is possible, is there a GUI apt that not requires also the phone?

whatsapp has a graphical web client if you'd prefer to use that.

I knew about that but it uses the phone, right? You must always have it connected.
Also I would like an apt like whatsie but it always needs the phone.
And now seems that whatsie is no more available.

Yes, and another option is to create a launcher for Chrome that starts Whatsapp Web. In my case it only works with Chrome. Firefox is not able to open the website.

With Whatsapp Web The phone keeps connected until you stop connection by means of the Whatsapp Web or the phone itself but you can turn off the phone and Whatsapp Web still works without the phone until you close it or reboot.
