[SOLVED]Cinnamon DE goes black after login

Postby Eminent » 2019-07-08 19:16

Hi,
I have Debian 9.9 with Cinnamon DE. After I login with a normal user, I get a black screen but I can see files on the desktop. Also, I can't see taskbar icons and I can't minimize or maximize the terminal window or web browser window and so on. How can I get rid of this issue?

EDIT: I didn't mention it, When the screensaver is enabled, the screen doesn't lockout, and I can back to the desktop screen without login.

Thanks

Check the X.org log, ~/.xsession-errors & the systemd journal for any clues.

Have you added any foreign repositories?
Code: Select all
apt policy
