DWM layout question

Postby alan stone » 2019-09-20 16:15

I've been playing with i3wm, next in line is dwm.

Is a i3wm-like layout like the one below possible with dwm & the available dwm patches?

Code: Select all
split container 1              split container 2
w/ stacked windows

--------------------------------------------------------
|  window 1              |          window 5            |
--------------------------                              |
|  window 2              |                              |
--------------------------                              |
|  window 3              |                              |
--------------------------                              |
|  window 4              |                              |
|                        |                              |
|                        |                              |
|                        |                              |
|                        |                              |
|                        |                              |
|                        |                              |
|                        |                              |
|                        |                              |
---------------------------------------------------------

That's the place indeed. As the provided documentation is rather frugal and not always very clear to me in finding the useful one(s) I thought of asking here in case somebody had the same idea and found out.

They (patches) have very clear descriptions. There are even pictures there...
