Howto get vanished GNOME settings back

#1 Post by Onsemeliot »

After the last Debian update my GNOME settings icon was suddenly gone. In case any of you made the same discovery. I was able to get it back by installing the relevant tools by hand again:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install gnome-control-center
After a reboot everything was back to normal. So I guess the update deleted the control center by accident – at least under certain conditions that applied in my case.
