I am using cmus. I have added ~/music to library. After that I have added some directories with music in ~/music, but library is not automatically updated. I know that cmus does not have option for automatic update of the library, but I want to know how to manually update the library.

The man page has all the options, you could put the relevant ones in a script that will run either on command or by using cron (or similar).
Personally I use xmms2 for a cli audio player and have written a gui for it to make it much easier to add/remove/edit the library although I don't think cmus would be as easy to implement something like that.
