Bluetooth mouse needs to pair every time

Hi guys,

I am using a logitech M557 Bluetooth mouse on Debian 10 and I am experience the following issue.

Expected behavior:
Pair once. After systemctl restart bluetooth.service or reboot, the bluetooth mouse should automatically reconnect.

Current behavior:
Pair once. After systemctl restart bluetooth.service or reboot, the system's bluetooth tries to reconnect to the mouse wihtout success. I have to put the mouse into pairing mode again and manually retry to pair to it before it reconnects.

Useless effort so far:
    enabled UserspaceHID in /etc/bluetooth/input.conf
    trust the mouse in bluetoothctl
    apt install bluetooth

Important Notes:
I am also using a bluetooth headset which worked flawlessly after the "apt install bluetooth".
I have an entry for that headset in /var/lib/bluetooth and I don't have this for the mouse.

I hope someone can help me out on this. I used to run Debian 9 before and it worked flawlessly without any issues using the same mouse. I am now running a fresh install of Debian 10.

Thank you in advance!
