Hello everyone,
I have a new issue, which I did not think it would be.
I was trying to remove virtualbox from my laptop
I try apt-get remove virtualbox
I try apt-get remove --auto-remove virtualbox
I try agp-get purge virtualbox
i try apt-get purge --auto-remove virtualbox
Restart the laptop virtualbox still there.

So I try I try agp-get purge virtualbox 6.1
after that laptop black sceen
When I go to recovery mode tty1 and when I do the normal login option TTY1
I can get in and see my files are all there.
uname -a 5.4.0.2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.4.8-1 (2020-01-05) x86_64 GNU/Linux

How do I get my normal gui back ?
Please help
Any help

Try this
apt-get update work
apt-get upgrade failed
had to use dpkg --configure -a
then try
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
did not work
had to use apt --fix-broken install
had to pop for boot loader select main dev
came back to cli
type startx load could not do anything but more the mouse around.
So I had to login into tty2 to shutdown the laptop
try the startx again same issue

What version of Debian are you even running?

Where did you get virtualbox 6.1?
The MX Linux repositories: Backports galore! If we don't have something, just ask and we'll try--we like challenges. New packages: Kodi 18.6, Strawberry 0.6.11, Muse 3.1.0, Chromium with va-api, Audacity 2.4.1, Kdenlive 20.04

Well getting x-pkg from a questionable source (or not doing it right) can indeed cause issues. Branch mixing or selectively installing from other branches with proper apt-pinning won't and is not overly complicated to learn about. Not willing to devote the time in helping sort what's going on in this particular instance. Though just for giggles would try reloading services so systemd's aware of such change. See if it helps, "systemctl daemon-reload". The don't break Debian thing in my view, never mix pkgs from other branches thing gets taken too far by some, one very vocal on that, is doing so himself cause they want better hardware support on Debian stable for their newer hardware. Came right out and admitted it, though knew they were as it's what works best. Many harping on that, this is apparently a do as I say, not as I do thing. Must consider most users too stupid to figure it out. Oops I'm likely messing up some signal to noise ratio here so better shut up. :)

Getting told how ill-advised doing xyz-thing is, after successfully having done something for years with great results, knowing that person is doing such themselves and I've been doing so before they even started using gnu/Linux gets old fast. Seeing such people trying to scare newer users into never learning about these effective aspects cause again, we're all too stupid to understand, also grates on my nerves. Oh no signal to noise!
