Install a KDE Application in Gnome possible ?

Postby oida » 2020-07-25 16:42

Hello,
i am running Debian 10 with Gnome amd the backported Kernel 5.6 due. Beside some minor things in general i am happy with that. My actual problem is, i am working a lot with photographs (i am a photographer) and i use a WACOM Intuos Pros S - Graphics Tablet, which works basically fine. But it seems there is a problem in the Settings of the Wacom Tablet with Gnome. It is not possible to configure buttons, especial the wheel, on the tablet as described in the Gnome help. After doing a little research it seems that kde-config-tablet can do this.

Since this App is designed for KDE and not for Gnome i am unsure if i can install kde-config-tablet without damaging my Gnome config.

I am not a Pro so any thoughts or help would be great.

All the best to you

It's just a GUI, should be fine. Backup beforehand though, just in case.

It may only be a module for KDE's system settings, so you may have to install "systemsettings5" and run "systemsettings" to see it.
