Note that the original poster in that thread was running a Buster/Sid FrankenDebian, and that the MX 19 version probably won't work on Buster's XFCE 4.12, since we're building against 4.14 libraries. Let me see if I can set up an OBS repo for 10.1 on vanilla Buster.

Here are backports for Buster. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show ... her-plugin

I have a pretty good idea of how to fix the Stretch builds, but someone has to ask for those first.

Currently xfce-weather-data-plugin is broken even in stable.

It has happened many times before, and cured itself in updates.

Yes, but it didn't cure itself--someone has to report it as a bug, and someone then has to backport the fixes to Buster. if you don't want to wait for those, then backport the upstream version yourself or use the repo I created.

Did You *really* downloaded unverified and unsigned system component library from an untrusted IP address ?
Nice...

Sure--it must be safer than my Buster OBS rebuilds where anyone can download and look at the source, right?

You're right, this not safe. I removed the lib.

How can I check my system was not infected by something please ? I don't know what to do now...

The answer is always the same--restore your system from your last known secure backup. That's the only way to be really really sure.

But odds are much higher that that file was not infected. It would be more likely that it just wouldn't work correctly.

Thanks Steve. I won't do it again.
