Gnome - adwaita-dark theme [SOLVED]

I like the adwaita-dark theme but I cannot see the blue part in the scripts when I open them with gedit, it is too dark.

Finally they have fixed it, I can see that on my sid VM with gnome 3.38.1.

Can I take the theme to use it on debian 10 with gnome 3.30.2? Where is it?

To install custom themes, do I have to create the .themes folder in my home? (And place them there).

~/.local/share/themes is preferred over ~/.themes, you can extract the theme from your VM by mounting the disk image and copying them over. Ask the interweb how.

Alternatively you should be able to install the sid .deb packages to test if the themes work but don't add the sid repositories.

I found the themes in /usr/share/themes.

I copied the sid theme there but it is not affecting the colors.

So is installing from sid packages pointless?

Do I need to recompile it?

In gedit settings I can set another color scheme, they have changed classic to tango.
Classic background is affected by the adwaita color so I thought that was related to the theme.

Looks like both tango and classic schemes use the fg/bg color from the gtk theme, but both were designed assuming a light background.
I use oblivion, tango is a little not perfect.
