I have never installed anything from source before. I already had ogle installed for me and I would like to add ogle_gui. When I try to configure ogle_gui, it says
" You must install ogle and ogle_gui in the same prefix"
What does that mean?

ogle and ogle_gui
Slightly off-subject, but there are Debian packages for both ogle and ogle-gui, and stable, testing, unstable all are on version 0.9.2-2.
Now to answer your question... When building from source, the default value is --prefix=/usr/local/. Debian maintainers, when building Debian packages, use --prefix=/usr/. Exactly how was ogle installed on your computer?

ogle and ogle_gui
Thanks Harold.
I used apt-get install ogle and installed it from cd.
I tried # apt-get install ogle_gui-0.9.2-2 and without the number but it just says it can't find the package.
(I did apt-get update and I have
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ testing main contrib in my sources.list)
Thanks for your help--I'll try doing it from source.

I found out why I was confused about that. The web-site I was getting ogle-gui from
http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/groups/dvd/downloads.shtml
calls it ogle_gui-0.9.2.tar.gz.
