For all those who may have gotten a iPod video...it takes a little work to get video to/from your ipod in Debian. Here's what you need:
1) gtkpod v0.99 or later. This isn't in the offical repositories yet, so you will need to use alien.
2) libgpod 0.3.0. This was split out of gtkpod after the latest release currently in Sarge or Sid (as of this writing)
3) libmp4v2 can be found in .deb already here.
use alien for 1 and 2, apt-get (or synaptic, ect) for 3 adn you're in business.
