VNC forwarding/connecting to :0

#1 Post by quis »

Hey, I've installed tightvncserver on my server box, but it will only let me spawn new screens, i.e. :1, :2, etc. How do I configure it to connect to :0, i.e. forward the machine's own display to my VNC client. If it helps, I'm using Debian Stable, XFCE4.2, tightvncserver and Chicken of the VNC on OS X to connect.

Fixed, I installed x11vnc, which is designed specifically for what I wanted.
