backup my emails

#1 Post by Swordmaster »

I've tried a lot of things on my linux system and I think it would be better to install Debian all over again so get a fresh install. I made to many chances in /etc/.. files.

But the only thing a want to keep are my emails. I use Ximian.
Can I simply burn the .ximian directory and copy it back when I installed Debian again?

Yes. You can also save any program's settings by backing up the .<progname> directories from your home dir.
