If someone has already asked this, I apologize, but does anyone have a clue as to when we will see KDE 3.4 in the unstable branch? I thought I heard that it won't be there until testing becomes stable, but I don't know if that's true. Honestly I have the patience of a flea, and I can't wait.
Thanks

When will KDE 3.4 be in unstable?
paste it in your sources.list and do a 'apt-get update' and then 'apt-get upgrade' and kde3.4 is on your computer.Anonymous wrote:This is non official, but it works at my computer
deb http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde-3.4.0 ./
You may also have to do apt-get install to those packages which don't upgrade right away. I had to do so for about 50 packages, but after that it has been working really well.Anonymous wrote:paste it in your sources.list and do a 'apt-get update' and then 'apt-get upgrade' and kde3.4 is on your computer.Anonymous wrote:This is non official, but it works at my computer

O.k. it's been what, a month since Sarge went stable, and still no official KDE 3.4.x. Does anyone know what's holding this up? Is it lack of people, some technical issue, or am I just being impatient (most likely)?
It's beginning to feel as though Unstable isn't bleeding edge enough when pretty much all the other major distros have moved to the latest KDE. (Watch now it'll appear in aptitude tomorrow, and I'll have to sheepishly apologize.)
Ah well, if anyone has some insight please say pipe up.
Thanks.

You can actually get 3.4.1 now.
deb http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde-3.4.1 ./
