How to run X2 game demo on Debian testing?

#1 Post by shmerl »

I'm trying to run X2 the Threat demo ( http://demofiles.linuxgamepublishing.com/x2/ ) on current Debian testing x86_64. It doesn't really work. Is it runnable at all?

I get these:

Code: Select all

.setup7904: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib32/libXi.so.6: undefined symbol: _XGetRequest
I already have libxi manually installed from i386 package though. Plus for some reason it says:

Code: Select all

You are running a x86 machine with libc5 (Debian GNU/Linux (or similar))
May be that package is all outdated and not rebuilt for current systems, or I'm missing something here?
