sata drive not mounting on boot? (SOLVED)

#1 Post by totzo »

Hi ,

I have a strange problem with a sata drive. My system drive is a pata & I have a 2nd pata storage drive- they both mount fine on boot but the sata doesn't. Now, here's the funny bit, if I log in as root everything mounts fine including the sata drive. If I then log out and back in as a user it disappears again!

I've looked at the groups settings and can't find a scsi or sata group, I've added all sorts of groups to my user account with nae results, can anyone help?

Thanks in advance. :?:

Doh! All I had to do was change the fstab option from "defaults" to "user"
