Debian Toshiba Encore 2 Write

#1 Post by dpeterson3 »

Just got an Encore 2 write (Bay trail processor) as a birthday present. Trying to get Debian running on it. Using these instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows ... 2-t2849861
and this install cd found here
http://blog.einval.com/debian/CDs
to get Debian up and running on a flash drive. Touch and pen interface work just fine as does usb. I'm having trouble with some of the other hardware, though.
Specifically, I can't seem to get the wifi or sd card working. Looking at the device manager in windows 8.1, I see that both are connected to the SDIO bus, which
appears to be run directly by the processor rather than a separate chip connected to the PCI or USB bus. I'm not sure how to try to use these devices.

Windows reports
SD Host Controller: INT33BB
Broadcom a/b/g/n Wireless SDIO adater(hardware id SD\VID_02d0&PID_a94d), which isn't very helpful. That's all it gives me, though.

Has anyone got any of this working? I've been searching around and haven't come up with anything on how to make this work. Maybe I'm just out of luck for now.
