I will soon add a new pci video card (nvidia) in my desktop computer, now running with the motherboard integrated intel one.
I'm posting here to have advice about the procedure : all i can found on the web concern old distribution with xorg.conf
i guess the new xorg auto configuration should work out of the box after i plugged the new card ? may be i will have to install the proprietary pilot from console, but nothing more ?
Thank you in advance

Re: New PCI video card
For an Optimus configuration, see https://wiki.debian.org/Bumblebee.
For a single NVIDIA graphics card with the proprietary driver, see https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers.
The open (nouveau) driver will autoconfigure with a single NVIDIA card and is pretty good these days, maybe try that first?
