Installing graphics card

#1 Post by cmxdiver »

I love Linux but when I come up against a problem like this I hate it with a passion.

I have an old computer that I have installed wheezy on. The graphics are fine in the install but when it boots the graphics are illegibale.
I have found out using lspci I have an ATI Rage 128 Pro Ultra Tf and tried to change the source.list file to include deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/ wheezy main contrib non-free but the system tells me it cant locate httpredir.debian.org

Exactly what problem do you want help with? The video driver or the sources list? The sources list error is an obvious one I thought. The package with the drivers you need for that video card is xserver-xorg-video-r128 which you only need the main repo enabled.
