Updated and now I get a kernel panic on boot!

I have just updated debian sid (yes, I know) today and then rebooted. Now I get a kernel panic on boot, even when booting with recovery. Can anyone please help me at least boot to console and revert the update?

EDIT: Switched to Ubuntu since I couldn't get Wifi working with the Debian LiveCd.
