Non-fatal Machine Check Exception on every reboot?

I've got a new headless system that I've put together, and as far as I can tell it seems to be running completely fine on the current Debian stable. However, consistently on every reboot, within about ten minutes of every bootup, it registers a single Machine Check Exception--There's no oops in the dmesg and it doesn't panic the kernel. The system doesn't show any further anomalies; the RAM passed a memtest and I haven't experienced a single application-level crash that I am aware of. I have also left it on for hours to days between reboots and never had it register more than the single MCE for each boot. The only temperature sensors currently supported in linux are the CPU core temps, but none of those ever goes over 35C.

The motherboard is an ASRock J3455M, a motherboard that comes with an embedded low-power Celeron chip soldered in, and is a relatively recent board (2016 release). It has two sticks of 4GB DDR3 ram each, and an add-on PCIe 1x SATA card. The system drive is a 2.5" SSD, and it additionally has two spinning hard drives with aufs-based spanning. In normal operation, the only external connections are power and ethernet; no monitor, keyboard, or USB peripherals are connected.

I'm attaching what relevant info I have, if any of it is any help to anyone. I'm not incredibly worried about this, but I'm curious if anyone has an idea as to what's going on, or if anyone has had similar symptoms and resolved them.

This is a harmless warning message. The DIMM database prefill relies on a specific non-standard format of the DIMMs in the DMI BIOS tables. If this format is not used by the BIOS mcelog will only discover DIMMs as they get their first error (iff the CPU reports DIMMs in machine check errors).

Yeah, I'm not too concerned about the DMI stuff; I found the same page in my own googling before I came here. But the log also contains lines like like "Hardware event: This is not a software error" and "Processor state corrupt", which seemed a little more threatening.

Well, also from that FAQ:
On what systems does DMI DIMM decoding work?
DMI DIMM decoding currently only works on Intel Xeon 55xx, 56xx, E5 (Romley) systems It also requires the DMI BIOS to report the DIMMs in a specific non-standardized format, which may not be available in all systems. The DIMMs will also be only reported when mcelog recognizes the CPU and the CPU supplies the necessary data.

So, the description of "hardware error" seems to be sane, at least in the sense of, the hardware doesn't do that. :-)

You should really always mention what you already know when posing a question. It doesn't make sense for us or you to have to cover already covered ground.
