OpenCL with AMDGPU on Debian 9.1

Postby waterlubber » 2017-11-27 22:24

I am trying to get OpenCL to work on Debian 9.1 (Stretch) on kernel 4.9.0-4 with the AMDGPU drivers (namely for ethereum mining, because I get quite cold in the winter months)
I have been having a very tough time, and so far nothing I've found online has been of use.

I've tried various packages, including the AMDGPU Pro driver.

Here is my glxinfo, just without the tables at the end: https://pastebin.com/HCEYV6aV
Here is my clinfo: https://pastebin.com/94ZMfLbY
Here is darktable-cltest: https://pastebin.com/VgXnpPzK

Here are all my OpenCL related packages: https://pastebin.com/raw/Ui6qvPQW
and all amdgpu packages: https://pastebin.com/raw/CkASfB0v

Most OpenCL programs give various "device not found" errors. With different configurations of packages, occasionally clinfo will flat out refuse to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The mesa-icd appears to be close to working but the various OCL programs I use won't recognize the device.
