Re: WLAN card not working after installing stretch
Look at dmesg command output, it will tell you what is missing i guess... but according to this:Derpbian wrote: 04:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 8260 (rev 3a)

Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 4.1+ iwlwifi-8000-ucode-25.30.13.0.tgz
So iwlwifi-8000C-13.ucode is yours i guess.
It seems that firmware is missing in 'firmware-iwlwifi' package... whatever, if dmesg complan about that named one just copy it in /lib/firmware and reboot

Hmm I tried this just now, I was able to download the file from Intels site and extracted the content in /lib/firmware, Did a reboot but the wlan interface does not show up in ifconfig.

Re: WLAN card not working after installing stretch
Hi! Sorry for some reason I did not add deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/ stretch main contrib non-free in /etc/apt/sources.list. Once I did that it worked as a charm! Thank you so much for the help!

I suspected as much, even when you said in your second post
This why we get a skeptical attitude here, and demand to see actual terminal output, instead of a vague "it didn't work!"Im sorry but Iv'e tried that and it does not solve my issue, Thanks anyway.

What output do you need? I just followed the guide and added the non-free repos.stevepusser wrote:I suspected as much, even when you said in your second postThis why we get a skeptical attitude here, and demand to see actual terminal output, instead of a vague "it didn't work!"Im sorry but Iv'e tried that and it does not solve my issue, Thanks anyway.
