AM3+ Motherboard

I'm thinking of buying this computer (https://www.game.co.uk/en/vibox-killstr ... ws-2300425) with powerful GPU for deep learning research. Is this AM3+ motherboard compatible with Debian 9? Thanks.

It should work. You will have 2 video options: the nouveau drivers or the proprietary drivers from NVidia. I'm a little skeptical that the motherboard make/model is not provided nor the hard drive SATA. SATAII vs SATAIII?

You should be able to come up with something more cost and energy efficient. I would look at the AM4 based boards with an AMD A12-9800 APU

This will get you 3.8gHZ, Quad cores, efficient video, faster memory spec for likely less than that bundle. It also may be worthwhile for you while to research putting your own system together. The are many on-line guides and it is relatively simple. I usually target my money toward mobo's with good capacitors, 80 + power supplies, plenty of low CAS latency memory and more durable hard drives (WD Blacks/HGST over WD Blues)
