maybe nothing!

I miss the days when all this functionality was built into the controllers bios. I would have thought 2 decades ago all the smart info, formatting,provisioning, and the like would be available with a <Ctrl><S> after the post screen, or something... I miss grown sectors.

I use badblocks to stress test new hard disk drives. Here's an (old) article that describes the process:
