Bluetooth connection not working.

#1 Post by macky »

Hello all, first of I did search the possible solution to my problem but still I'm not able to make my bluetooth connection work, I had read this https://wiki.debian.org/wl but it only enables the wifi
and https://wiki.debian.org/Firmware apparently there's no bluetooth adapter found which make me think that it's not yet installed here's the message I got:

bluetooth hci0: firmware: faile to load brcm/BCM20702A1-413c-8143.hcd (-2)
firmware class: See https://wiki.debian.org/Firmware for information about missing firmware

How to possibly install this adapter like the one above?

Thanks.

Which version of Broadcom Bluetooth device do you have?
(It can be shown to you e.g by command lspci.)

Yes you're right it happened because it fail to load the firmware BCM20702A1-413c-8143.hcd I have one of this problem in the past with my bluetooth speaker aomais go connecting to my machine, it's because
the said firmware is not activated or installed, here's the directions I followed to make it work: https://github.com/winterheart/broadcom-bt-firmware
