Printer driver and lsb package

Postby LuxGiammi » 2019-09-25 20:10

Hi everybody,

I've just installed Debian 10 on my machine and I set up the printer using CUPS.
However, the printer prints very slowly, approximately 2 pages per minute. This is very annoying because with Windows I did not have this problem. I tried to download the Epson drivers, which consist of two .deb packages and tried to install them with
Code: Select all
dpkg -i
, but it complains about the package lsb which is missing. I've checked that on my system, the latest version of lsb-base and lsb-release are up to date, so I cannot understand the problem.

Could you please help me in solving this?

Thanks a lot

Ps: I've already posted this in another section, but as soon as I realised that it was the wrong section, I posted this here and deleted the previous thread

Maybe you could share with us the printer model, it's an EPSON right?

This problem was addressed recently in the forum. If you use the forums search function, you should get several threads each of which will solve your problem.
