Screen turns garbled

This only happens when the computer is bumped, put down too hard when moving it, etc.

Everything freezes, and I can't use the cursor.

Loose video connector or other hardware? Good luck with that in a notebook

Take it apart, to the point where you can lift the keyboard. Then release and reseat all the ribbon cable connections. Should be 3 or 4, from memory. Be careful - the connectors are quite fragile.

Thanks! One was a little loose. I will have to wait and see if it is fixed.
