iSight on 2007 macbook

Postby Baskanos » 2020-07-04 20:03

I've been given an old macbook with a version of Debian running. I've update the OS to the latest version, got the wifi setup and running. But I've run into a wall with the webcam. I understand you need the firmware for this from a OSx partition on the drive, only problem is the macbook has had the whole drive given to Debian. My question is, it is possible to get the firmware from somewhere and install this?

It took me less than three minutes to find the firmware: https://unlockforus.com/downloads/AUVideo.zip

Use https://packages.debian.org/buster/isig ... ware-tools to install it.

Your search-fu is poor...

I concede your google-fu is stronger than mine.
